Abstract
The Army has a continuing need for remote sensing methods in the area of target identification. One promising lidar technique for this purpose is use of ultraviolet - induced fluorescence (Measures, 1984). To enhance the identification capability of an ultraviolet lidar fluorescence system, we conducted measurements to demonstrate the feasibility of using fluorescence lifetimes to discriminate reference substances.
