Abstract
EPA is an important partner in the Department of Homeland Security's BioWatch program, playing a major role in sampling operations-including monitor deployment, site security, oversight, and assessing monitor technology. This presentation reviews the requirements for an effective environmental monitoring system for aerosol threats, the requirements that a fully functional BioWatch system might meet, and the set of requirements for which EPA is responsible. I also discuss how well EPA implemented its designated responsibilities. Full-text article is not available.
