Optical measurements of low-frequency hemodynamic oscillations in human breast tissue

Abstract

Induced cyclic hemodynamic perturbations in two healthy subjects featured in-phase oscillations of oxy- and deoxy-hemoglobin concentrations in breast tissue. We present a new dual-breast optical instrument to investigate bilateral breast tissue hemodynamics in cancer patients.
