Abstract

To account for the properties of temporal correlation functions of light multiply scattered in optically thick media, a diffusing photon model had been presented in [1]. The corrected version of the model, stated in [2], gave an approach to the adequate description of these properties. Similar ideas have become the basic concepts of diffusing-wave spectroscopy [3]. Using the detailed review [4], one can evaluate the intense development of this technique and the achievements in exploiting it to investigate strongly scattering suspensions and foams. Owing to the elementary form of the diffusion solution, the slab geometry [3,4] has widest use in such experiments now.
