Abstract
PVK based photorefractive polymers are improved by modifying the nonlinear chromophores To realize longer shelf life, fast response speed, and large photorefractive index change simultaneously, we mixed two different nonlinear chromophores. Diffraction efficiency of the photorefractive grating was improved significantly to 16 % with 100 μm thick sample, and shelf lifetime was more than 2 months. Quite large material sensitivity for the vibration measurement δref = 1.69 was obtained.
