Cove-edged nanographenes as a potential optical-gain media for lasing

Abstract

Photo-excited state’s dynamics, and optical gain properties of a novel and promising coved-edge nanographene are presented. Observation of ASE with ~1 mJ/cm2 threshold, and 80% of Quantum Yield, open the door towards future photonic applications.
