Abstract
All-optical switching in silica fibers has been demonstrated in a number of reports.1,2 However, long fibers (a few hundred meters) were used in these reports because of their small nonlinear refractive index (n2). Recently, an efficient third-order optical nonlinearity has been detected in dialcogenide glass by THG.3
