Abstract
While recent reviews1 illustrate the substantial progress in the understanding of atomic negative ions, many binding energies are still poorly known or even completely unknown. Excited electronic states are also in general poorly determined. Our understanding of these species has recently been further elucidated by the application of nonlinear optics and multiphoton techniques.2
