Abstract
Earlier, we reported results of hole-burning experiments on Langmuir-Blodgett films (LBF) doped with resorufin, tetraazaporphin and with a cyanine dye [1-3]. The present paper is devoted to the first investigations of the Stark effect on LBF as probed by persistent hole-burning (some preliminary results were reported in a short letter [4]). In particular, we demonstrate here a new possibility of this technique for the study of chromophore orientation in LBF.
