Abstract
During the primary electron transfer in the reaction center (RC) of photosynthetic bacteria the special pair, the neighboring bacteriochlorophyll and the subsequent bacteriopheophytin molecules are of major importance. It is accepted that a pair of bacteriochlorophyll molecules provides the primary electron, which is transferred to a bacteriopheophytin H within several picoseconds. The details of this primary electron transfer, especially the role of the accessory bacteriochlorophyll B located between P and H, however, are still in a state of debate /1-3/.
