Abstract

Femtosecond transient grating spectroscopies probe the relaxation dynamics of the monolayer protected clusters Au24Pd(SCH2CH2Ph)18 and Au25(SCH2CH2Ph)18. The signals reveal an ultrafast internal conversion process between excited states spatially localized to the core and semiring moieties.
