Abstract
The influence of computers on people’s daily lives is increasing and the need for simpler, more natural interfaces to use computers is emerging. This chapter describes the work done towards integrating an eye tracker into a multimodal workstation at the Rutgers University CAIP Center. The hardware and software challenges faced while integrating the eye tracker and designing the human factors study are discussed. Also, the performance issues with the current state of the technology are discussed.
