Abstract
A new class of holograms called circular-carrier holograms (CCH) is presented. A CCH is a hologram formed between an object wave and conical wave. Because of the circular symmetry in the conical wave, the fringes in the CCH are also circular. Making CCH and some of their properties are discussed, with three examples. A method for reconstructing the object wave from the CCH, using a circular grating, is presented.
