Abstract
Third-order polarization-correlation functions are presented for optical waves propagating through a highly random, multiple-scattering medium. General expressions for arbitrary input-polarization states are presented, as are more specific forms suitable for comparison with experiment. To a good approximation, it is found that only a single material parameter is required for a description of the random medium. Good agreement is obtained between theory and experiment.
