Abstract
This article discusses the problem of recognizing the board for the game of Go and methods for solving it. A modification of the Hough transform is proposed that uses the periodicity of objects on an image. An existing method of detecting the board is also modified in order to make it less heuristic and more automatic. Methods of increasing the throughput of the resulting algorithm were tested, and recommendations are made for its further improvement. Both actual photographs of boards for the game of Go and synthetic photographs were used as experimental samples.
