Reversible Photo-Bleaching Effect in Bi/Er Co-Doped Optical Fiber

Abstract

We observed a reversible photo-bleaching effect in Bi/Er co-doped optical fiber. The bismuth related luminescence could be partially bleached by the irradiation of 830 nm pump, and recovered to original level after stopping irradiation.
