Fragmentation-based Dynamic Multicast Routing and Spectrum Assignment Algorithm in Spectrum-sliced Elastic Optical Path Networks

Abstract

We define the fragmentation based on the blocking probability and propose a fragmentation-based dynamic multicast routing and spectrum assignment (FBDM-RSA) algorithm in spectrum-sliced elastic optical path (SLICE) networks. Simulation results indicated that the proposed FBDM-RSA algorithm outperforms some existing ones in both multicast network coding and spectrum fragmentation.
