Hierarchical Spectrum Assignment Algorithms Optimistic for the Large Capacity Trend of Networks

Abstract

Proposed in this paper are hierarchical spectrum assignment (HSA) algorithms for flexible bandwidth optical networks. Simulations demonstrate that HSA with large section segment outperforms First Fit especially with the large capacity development trend of network.
