Simultaneous Bending and Temperature Measurements Based on Double Exposed Long Period Fiber Gratings

Abstract

We propose a bending sensor based on double exposed long period fiber gratings. The ultrahigh curvature sensitivities are 51.89 dB/m-1 with a range from 0.1586 m-1 to 0.2980 m-1. The temperature sensitivity is 0.0481 nm/.
