Link-oriented Spectrum Resource Balancing for Hybrid Edge/Cloud Elastic Datacenter Optical Networks

Abstract

This paper proposes a link-oriented spectrum resource balancing scheme for hybrid edge/cloud elastic datacenter optical networks by presenting a novel weighted Shannon entropy-based fragmentation metric. Simulation results show the proposal can decrease the blocking probability.
