Biomimetic Optical Sensor for Fluid Velocity Measurement

Abstract

To measure the underwater fluid velocity, we proposed a novel optical sensor mimicking the fish neuromast. The linearity of the applied force and the intensity of light in the fluorescence image was verified through experiments.
