Abstract

Rechargeable lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) are now used extensively for portable electronic devices and they are emerging in electric vehicle market as well as in many other applications. The ever-increasing demand has sparked research efforts in developing LIBs with high voltage, high power and long cycle life. There is great interest in developing novel high-performance electrode materials for lithium-ion batteries, which is of great importance for the next generation LIBs. We have been designed, synthesized and investigated various high-capacity cathode and anode materials.
