Kerr-Lens-Modelocked 1-GHz Ti:sapphire Oscillator Pumped by a Single Laser Diode

Abstract

We present a self-starting Kerr-lens-modelocked, three-element, single-diode-pumped Ti:sapphire laser producing 111-fs pulses at a repetition frequency of 1 GHz with an average power of 106 mW at 1 W of pump power.
