The net gain bandwidth broadening of a Yb:CaAlGdO4 amplifier: a prospect for obtaining extremely short mJ-level laser pulses using traditional CPA architecture

Abstract

We report the net gain bandwidth broadening effect of a Yb:CALGO amplifier at 1 kHz, that results in 126 fs output pulses with 1.76 mJ of energy from a traditional CPA regenerative Yb-amplifier
