Sub 125-fs mJ-level Yb:CALYO Diode Pumped Regenerative Amplifier

Abstract

We report a 1 kHz, Yb-based regenerative amplifier providing the ultimate 122 fs output pulses with 2.3 mJ of energy at 1039 nm, developed using a single disordered Yb:crystal-Yb:CaYAlO4 (Yb:CALYO).
