Quick Phase-Matching Procedure for High-Energy Harmonic Generation in Single-Shot Regime. Application to 52 J Frequency-Doubling in KTP

Abstract

We present a rapid experimental procedure to set and optimize phase-matching of large-aperture high-energy harmonic generators in a few shots. We report on 52 J second-harmonic generation with 75% efficiency in large aperture KTP crystals.
