Quantifying Age-Related Changes in Skin Microstructure and Function Using In Vivo Multiphoton Microscopy

Abstract

Through label-free multiphoton microscopy, aged skin exhibited changes in autofluorescence and second harmonic generation indicating reduced glucose catabolism and a more fragmented collagen fiber network relative to young skin.
