Abstract
The new LaMgAl11019:Nd3+ (LNA) crystal has some advantages, such as high concentration without fluorescence quenching and optimal physicochemical, spectral, and luminescence properties. We have prepared good LNA crystals by the Czochralski method. The spectral properties, optics quality, and hot lens effect of the LNA crystal were investigated. The lasing properties of the LNA crystal were studied with repetition frequency pulses and a cw laser device. This paper reports results of experiments and analysis on a LNA laser at 1.054 μm wavelength.
