Abstract

A 0.5-Hz terawatt CPA laser system has been synchronized with a 46-GeV electron beam at the Stanford Linear Accelerator. A temporal jitter of σ = 3 ps between the two beams has been demonstrated. The laser is used for nonlinear QED experiments.1
