Abstract

We experimentally investigate the use of Linear Optical Amplifier (LOA) in microwave photonic systems and its intrinsic intermodulation distortion characteristics. Amplifier-induced spurious-free dynamic range (>100 dB-Hz2/3) is obtained for the first time.
