Abstract

The lidar (laser radar) systems have been developed and used for various atmospheric sensing and ranging applications over almost three decades.1 These systems utilize large size, high power lasers and sometimes limited by eye hazard problems. Eye safety is the key requirement for full time autonomous use in wide operational applications of the lidars.2
