Suppression of pump-noise influence on sub-poissonian photon-state generation from a semiconductor diode

Abstract

In all cases reported so far, suppression of pump noise has been essential for generating sub-Poissonian photons from semiconductor light emitters.1,2 Unfortunately, it is not easy to suppress the pump noise over a frequency range of interest, especially at temperatures higher than 10K.3 The main purpose of this talk is to propose a new scheme to reduce the influence of pump noise on spontaneous photon-emission events.
