Underwater Lidar Imaging (UWLI) in 3m tank with highly Turbid Waters

Abstract

Based on our newly-designed a series of targets at intervals, the range-gated phenomenon of the underwater lidar imaging is much clarified. In the extremely turbid water with attenuation 2.3/m, the target apart 1.5 m in distance cannot be observed by the non-gated camera at all, but its image could be recorded by our UWLI system.
