Abstract

We propose a novel transmission filter with the segmented chirped fiber Bragg grating which can select any wavelength channel of an input WDM signal by independent channel-switching. Its performance for channel selection by controlling the piezoelectric transducer attached to the segmented chirped fiber Bragg grating is experimentally demonstrated.
