High Power Long Wavelength Tunable Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Lasers

Abstract

A tunable source comprised of a co-packaged optically-pumped MEM-VCSEL, pump laser, and wavelength locker and capable of coupling >20mW of optical power into fiber while continuously tuning the C-band with high spectral fidelity (SMSR >50dB and OSNR >50dB) is presented.
