Abstract
It is known that Cr4+-doped laser crystals, such as Mg2SiO4, Y3A15O12, and Y2SiO5, have beautiful lasing characteristics.1,2,3 However in our opinion, the nonlinear properties of Cr4+-doped materials are very important too, because they allow creation of suitable devices for quantum electronics such as passive Q-switchers.2,4
