Abstract
The unique properties of laser heterodyne systems—the possibility of achievement of quantum sensitivity limit even with non-ideal photodetectors, obtaining of information on the phase and frequency spectra of received light, very narrow bandwidth in temporal and spatial domain—define their numerous applications. Instant field-of-view for heterodyne systems is narrow and approximately equal to the diffraction field-of-view for photoreceiver (aerial Siegman theorem). This property can often be referred to as a disadvantage, especially in the survey systems. In this report we analyze the possible ways to overcome this limitation.
