Abstract

Oxidized VCSELs show improved performance with respect to optical output power and wall-plug efficiency compared to their proton implanted counterparts [1]. For broadband digital transmission lasers with low intensity noise are required to avoid noise floors [2]. In this paper we study the noise properties of single-mode oxidized VCSELs.
