Abstract
Recent and significant advances in Electric-field poling of LiNbO3 have made Quasi-Phase Matching (QPM) of great interest especially for Optical Parametric Oscillators [1]. Realizing waveguides in such poled materials is a very attractive idea in order to benefit from the higher power confinement achievable in waveguide configuration. The measurement of parametric fluorescence is useful for predicting OPO operation since it allows measuring the d-coefficient and then the gain, the bandwidth, and the tuning curves of a resulting OPO device without the need for building a resonnator.
