Abstract

For two dimensional laser diode arrays, microchannel and impingement coolers have been used successfully to produce low thermal resistance actively-cooled packages. For a repetition rate of 100 Hz, stacks with maximum optical power density of 2.5 kW QCW/cm2 are currently under development.
