Single- and double-frequency, thin-film tuned, and stabilized, diode-pumped Nd:crystals lasers

Abstract

In laser radar system a tunable single- or double-frequency oscillator with frequency chirping is required. For metrology purpose the frequency and amplitude stabilized laser is necessary. To achieve the driven frequency parameters and high output power we have designed the diode-pumped Nd:YVO4, Nd:YAG, and Nd:YLF lasers. The metallic thin-film absorbing selector has been used to provide simultaneously single- or double-frequency operation, wave length tuning, frequency chirping or amplitude and frequency stabilization of the laser output.
