Excimer Laser Implantation of Pyrene Molecules In A Solid Polymer

Abstract

Laser ablation of polymers doped with aromatic molecules has been studied extensively over the past decade [1]. Based on these studies, a new phenomenon has emerged termed Laser Molecular Implantation (LMI) which involves the transfer of intact molecules between polymer films irradiated with low intensity laser light [2].
