Influence of higher-order phase dispersion in a femtosecond Kerr-lens mode-locked forsterite laser: dispersive wave and pulse splitting

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

The effects of higher-order intracavity phase dispersion are studied: third-order dispersion (resp. fourth-order) gives rise to a linear dispersive wave (resp. pulse splitting). Experimental observations fit well with those of theoretical calculations.
