Abstract

Recent advances in femtosecond laser technology enable us to generate high-order harmonics in the extreme ultraviolet region. A number of studies have been performed with models which lead to the understanding of physics involved in the harmonic generation. It is expected that attosecond pulses are formed by superposition of equidistant frequencies from the high-order harmonics in a given spectral range.
