Abstract

We propose a simple and effective method to stabilize the output power of a cascaded Raman fiber laser at variations of the pump power. It has been demonstrated theoretically and experimentaly for a three stage cascaded Raman converter of 1.06 µm down to 1.24 µm which is necessary as a pump source for Raman amplification in the 1.3 µm communication window [1].
