Novel resonator design for efficient high power TEM00 mode operation of solid state lasers

Abstract

Single rod flashlamp pumped Nd:YAG lasers in fundamental mode operation provide maximum output powers of about 25 W. These systems use dynamically stable resonators to achieve total efficiencies in the sub-percent range for beam propagation factors < 1.2 [1].
