Abstract

A microchip cavity including a half-monolithic Nd: YAG / KNbO3 chip and a second KNbO3 crystal is presented. An output power up to 30mW@473nm pumped by a single stripe 1 W@808nm diode was achieved. The laser can be operated with either single or multi longitudinal modes by rotating the second frequency doubler to 0° or 90° against the first one. The cw output noise is less than 2% for both cases.
