Abstract

The mixed crystals of AIIBVI compounds are an important class of materials with a variety of potential applications in opto-electronics devices operating in the blue-green spectra1 region[1]. Although foe optical properties of Zn1-xAgxSe have been well established recently, little is known about their nonlinear properties as a function of Ag content. The band gap energy and lattice constant of Zn1-xAgxSe increase with Ag content, hence the nonlinear optical processes such as second-harmonic generation, two photon absorption and nonlinear refraction index can be modified[1-2].
