Abstract
Previous investigations on energy transfer processes in fluoride lattices have shown that the energy transfer coefficient from Yb3+ to Tm3+ ions is considerably different for different fluoride lattices and dependent upon Yb3+ concentration. Comparison with the results of simulation have enabled to relate the energy transfer coefficients with microscopic interaction parameters.(1) It was shown also that the energy transfer coefficient is larger in YAG than in fluoride lattices.(2)
