Abstract

We study the possibility of complete optical recording (holography) in photoanisotropic materials using a plane-polarized reference beam. Namely, we show that vector [1] (polarization sensitive) photoexcitation mechanisms may be used to record/reconstruct not only the intensity and phase, but also the polarization state of an object beam.
